  • Scope:

    Seqwater has a proactive program to improve bank stabilisation on Neurum Creek, a tributary of the Stanley River that flows to Somerset Dam. Seqwater has engaged Verterra to carry out 0.3 ha of revegetation (3,000 seedlings installed) on the Brown Property and weed maintenance works incorporating manual power equipment and herbicide based treatments on 12 sites across seven properties. Each property has a common boundary to Neurum Creek. The Contract work area totals: 4.18 ha.

  • Challenge:

    Collaboration with Seqwater to manage landholder expectations will be a significant part of Verterra’s service delivery on this project. One of the landholders has excluded use of herbicides on this property. Verterra will closely manage all risks presented by steep banks, working near water, manual handling and use of herbicides. 

  • Solution:

    Verterra's experience inclues the ability to successfully establish plants in challenging environments and identify weeds and undertake successful manual weed control works.
