    In collaboration with Humula Timbers, preservation studies of small diameter, young age eucalypt thinnings including:

    • roundwood preservation trials
    • pre-drying requirement
    • de-barking techniques
    • chemical update analysis and preservation compatibility assessment
  • Benefit to Client:

    The project provided quantitative data to understand debarking and drying requirements for roundwood preservation logs, and demonstrate favourable preservation characteristics of wood from genetically improved clones.  This in turn supported commercialisation of genetically improved planting stock.
